The gold price in Hong Kong went down 47 HK dollars to 8,808 HK dollars per tael on Thursday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.

The price is equivalent to 954.88 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, down 5.15 U.S. dollars at Thursday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.743 HK dollars.
